A butterfly buffet

Gardeners exposing a feast for the butterflies often excel in a buffet offering flowers rich in nectar. It's great adult fare, but the menu repeatedly skips meals for children - the caterpillars munch leaves of plants.

So far I have been researching how to make science classes differentiated for students with learning needs or are struggling learners. This time I wanted to focus on how to make science differentiated for students with behavioral needs. These students are intelligent students, they just get distracted easily by their own behavior and this affects their learning. The objective of these students is to make lessons stimulating and engaging, they want to watch and learn! The first idea is to "watch". This means that when learning about things like the cycles of the animals, get a frog or a butterfly hatching kit.This will allow students to watch day by day, as the change from caterpillar to butterfly, or watching the tadpoles become frogs. They can watch every day and note the changes they see. It's exciting for students, then in spring, they can find a caterpillar or tadpole and do it again.
