The Second Coming of World Energy Solutions

Worcester-based World Energy Solutions appears to be heading in the right direction. After announcing their alliance with PJM-Systems Alban Engine Power, the other day, I had the chance to speak with both parties - and I liked what I heard.

First we will get everyone up to speed. World Energy Solutions as soft launched last February to unveil the World Stock Exchange DR - a platform for the county auction - which was a good idea because the industry has not accepted the announcement with open arms . The exchange would allow end users to have DSP competing for their business.This would, in theory, increase competition and increase revenue for the county end users. Of course, if the FMC leader does not feel the need to participate because they have enough customers to direct and manage direct MW through existing customer relationships, then the auction platform will not be used at its full capacity. In addition, if World Energy Solutions does not lock in relatively MW auction - so you get the point. That said, World Energy has completed several successful auctions response to the current application and proved he can attract a strong provider's participation in demand response and offer attractive 'splits' to its customers (ie -the percentage of clients program revenues DR).
