a cat D6 with a proof roller wagon behind it to check for compaction on the new road
From the corner of my eye I noticed a strange tics Cottonwood branch. I looked up, expecting to see a bird. Instead, there was a red squirrel, bouncing along the branch, stopping from time to time. When she stopped, pieces of leaves floating to the ground. A squirrel eating Deltoid? But why the creature would spend most of them? I reached for my binoculars and zoom in,
I saw a few pieces of leaves were yellow, not green. Then I could also see that the squirrel was not snacking on the stems of the leaves or limbs but he seemed to be briefly handled each piece selected. Aha!As the bits of yellow leaf fell it became clear that the squirrel took some leaves. That squirrel was feeding to the rolls of leaves! This seems to be a good year for moths moths, whose caterpillars silk to fold the use of blades in protective tubes in which they live and feed. But there was little protection against this hungry squirrel, which cruise branch after branch, foraging all the way bits of juicy fat and protein.
, A topsail schooner, made its way safely through the entrance and received her moorings in St. Augustine Municipal Marina. Greeted by a warm crowd of townspeople on the ground and by boat, 122 'on tall ships lined the city welcomed its carronades. Cutting through the smoke of gunpowder and the cheers, it made its way into our town to call home for the next three months. LAMP was on hand to welcome our friends sailing and celebrate the occasion.
, Email us here at LAMP for questions on the entry. NOAA maps of St. Augustine and its approaches are obviously deficient on the bathymetry and the nature of the entry.Notes on the maps indicate that the browsers used at entry should refer to the coast pilot and research on indigenous knowledge. For hundreds of years of the entry was a cantankerous piece of water, one that has swallowed many ships. Even when entry has been affixed to its present location by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 1940, it continues to need constant care and maintenance to ensure safe passage for ships. Boats regularly land on the shallow ebb and need relief and rescue by towing companies and visiting fishermen. One might think that when you get past the jetties and "sea", your troubles are over. This is not true. Just outside of our jetties channel is "escorted" by nearly two pitfalls. These shallow areas, not only can floor boats away, but to amplify the wave energy and can, when conditions are unfavorable turn entry into a washing machine. I was aboard the schooner Pilot 60 'bowsprit dipped its two feet under water in an entry of semi-rough. All last summer, when taking Roper on entering the workplace, we met with an exceptionally high waves created by the only conditions right in the entrance and took the boat through the waves rather than it.Roper deckhouse roof is about eight feet above the waterline and have taken solid green water on the roof!Caterpillar's new B-Series vibratory soil rollers have operating weights ranging from 11.7 to 21 tons and feature a newly designed operator station, universal bumper and enhanced compaction performance.
