Motor Coach or a yacht? Luxurious Terra Wind amphibious vehicle (PHOTOS)

Invented the world as "the first true amphibious coach," the Terra Wind RV was created by Cool Amphibious Manufacturers International LLC (CAMI), the owners, John and Julie Giljam.

The vehicle, Terra Wind has the ability to travel on roads at speeds up to 80 mph and even serve as a yacht across the water at 7 knots.

What makes the conduct of the Terra Wind RV is a flexible and reliable Caterpillar engine, Allison transmission and Neway front and rear air suspension. Apart from this, an all aluminum hull, gearing sea and a steering control of a button allows simple switching. Safety measures include two onboard Added sprinkler system and a three-zone bilge pump.

Pierce Tour

It was a long trip, but exciting as Chris, Benny and I visited the factory fire truck Pierce in Appleton, Wisconsin, last week. We visited three different sites, where the various components and fire trucks are built complete. Things were a little slow at the factory these days, there were only 400 fire trucks to measure through the assembly line. (The commercial truck chassis are built in another factory in Florida) The visit began at the main factory where the fire trucks are assembled.The cabins are mated to the chassis, body pump installed, cabinets and water tanks in place and all the other components that make up a truck full of firefighters. At the second plant, cabins, pump housings and bodies are built. This plant also had several large trucks to rescue under construction. Here ladders and towers are also installed on the chassis. Truck crash airport are also built here, including 37 units for Pakistan. The third plant on the circuit was located about 60 miles.
