    What is it?

After years of making the Tribute (which was essentially a rebadged Ford Escape), Mazda is taking a serious step in the small-SUV market with the CX-5 2013. Mazda SKYACTIV efforts include the development of new engines, transmissions and chassis lighter and organs are also stronger.

When the 2013 Mazda CX-5 hits showrooms in the U.S. next February, the engine SKYACTIV-G - which is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with direct injection, a compression ratio of 13.0:1 in the United States related vehicles, variable valve timing and exhaust design new - will be the only engine offered. In addition, the engine itself has been on an extensive weight loss plan that saw the weight of each cut part, as far as possible. Final specifications of the US-spec Mazda CX-5 are not yet available but should be announced later this year at Los Angeles Auto Show.We expect to be evaluated in the neighborhood of 160 hp.
