In some cases, it will be your friend with a generator. However, the next time an outage strikes, you may be prepared with your own.

This is still the Chevy Volt? Is this a real electric car, hybrid or something in between? To find out, I decided to drive for me this weekend. The Volt was a road trip from his home base in Detroit all the way to Los Angeles this week for 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show. He made an overnight stop in Denver and I jumped at the chance for a ride.

The first thing I noticed, of course, when saving the parking space is how the silence of the Volt was in electric mode.Get up to speed in this mode on both side streets and the road was a breeze total.
