Sand Breese: "Anyway it's now Wednesday and still no power. Dominion said they are working our problem today, but when you look at the list on the website where they work, Greenlaw Way is not on the list! But I talked to one person at Dominion and she said that our problem is being developed and will be set by 18 hours ... they said that since Sunday though.The nice lady I talked to said they are probably working a line problem that must be worked before they actually come here ... Anyway, thank you for all the offers of water .... Yesterday we got a call from Dickie Trembley and had a repairman to work post-Spillman's Generac generator and the guys would stop by here too ... voila! they did! and were able to repair the generator of the house, so now at least we have water! Praise the Lord! But now we [start] worry about running out of propane ... and pay for the stuff! Tom was very disappointed.We are supposed to be a family reunion for the family of Tom, after a year of planning, but can not leave here without any power. Have arranged for a friend to stay here with the dogs and other animals, but we can not let it run on a generator! Work on the patience!

According to Wikipedia Alternative Energy is an umbrella term that refers to any source of usable energy intended to replace the fuel sources without adverse consequences fuel replaced.

The word "alternative" is almost misleading, the word evokes the idea of something more environmentally friendly and maybe even cheaper to use than the fuel source currently in place, as the big bad corporate power. When alternative simply means that it is a choice or opportunity. And there are many other choices or opportunities ... Wind, solar, hydro, biomass, geothermal. Most of these other energy sources are not practical for individual use, they are for applications in industrial or large scale or are not profitable enough to offset the initial configuration to be financially practical ... and that's where all the environmentalists to comment ... What I mean is that you will not be able to recover the initial cost of the system with the accumilation economies in most situations.
