Frankfurt show – Honda's EV “fun"

Honda plans to differentiate itself from its rivals by making its first electric car "fun to drive," according to its president Takanobu Ito.

Honda is displaying an advanced version of its Jazz EV concept based in the Frankfurt Motor Show, before it was sold in Japan and the United States next year.

"Our long history with the electro technology has enabled us to understand customer requirements," said Ito. "With an electric vehicle Honda has to offer great value and be fun to drive."

The production car has a top speed of 90 mph, a range of 100-mile drive system and a three-mode system derived from the Honda CR-Z hybrid. This means that the driver will be able to choose between economy, normal and sport modes to maximize efficiency and acceleration. Sport mode is said by Honda to give the car the equivalent of a jazz performance with a gasoline engine two liters.

I had both Chris today, Rix the electrician and the camp of the manufacturer. Between them, they will set up the generator so that we need not worry about power cuts this winter to come. It was fortunate that I bought this Honda generator several years ago and it was a very good model. We're really going to host it in a metal storage unit standard garden outside the house that will avoid all the bad exhaust fumes, but it will be able to start with a key inside.The last days we have suffered from high winds and we held our breath as our electricity has not exploded due to falling trees, etc. With a little luck by the end of next week will be the generator operational and then we can relax.

Hot on the heels of our men generator newcomer occupational therapist (OT) Lynn. She took over from Sarah Moss that we found absolutely wonderful and I am sure that after meeting with Lynn, it will be equally useful and pragmatic. Basically, she came to ask "my beautiful" in the use of 'stand up' lift.This relatively small and mobile unit is capable of lifting a person on a wheelchair to a shower chair or toilet plastic and back. Equally well, it can be used to lift me to a standing position and, as things are now, on the part of gutter. I realize that we will take some getting used to, but I'm very excited about that mean an extension of our complete independence. Alice asked if I mind our first attempt to postpone until Monday, if everything goes wrong and I'm left dangling in the air and she needs to call social services!
