CALGARY, Sept. 10, 2011 / PRNewswire / - Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse, in partnership with Hockey Canada, unveiled the latest renovations at Frank McCool Arena hockey in Calgary, Alberta today.$ 50 000 grant provided by Lowe, was used to facilitate the renovation of the arena, which was built in 1976 and has not been modernized since.
The renovation project took place the weekend of May 28 to 29 with Lowe's employees, community volunteers, business partners and HGTV personality Brian Baumler to participate. The numerous renovations included the construction of a new room maids and improvements to the dressing room of men, in addition to painting and installation of lighting fixtures with high efficiency.These upgrades will help the operation more efficient, which will in turn lower the arena operating costs.
This was one of the weekends most enjoyable I have had in a long time. Nothing special is happening, really, and I had the weekend when I made things more fun, but it just seems to stand out! One reason was the weather! Is it really in the middle of November? Two absolutely stunning degree 70 days to prepare the ground for total enjoyment of what you want to do. Can not deny it!
Riding around town was a joy, too - the weather has helped, but the best part was the beautiful fall colors in full force.I have written repeatedly about how I love fall and miss the chances that the features you find in the northeast. But I am also pleased that this area is not so far south that loses the changing seasons. We get a pretty impressive fall here and I really enjoy it.
